Feels good to shoot a basketball (7/2/22)
Just shot around on the basketball court for the first time since March! ![]()
My right knee (that required 1- week recent hospitalization) is absolutely shot. I can walk fine, I can jog for a few minutes at a time but jumping? LOL. I can’t even get my right knee off the ground for a basic jump shot. Probably a few months away from jumping. I’ll just focus on building up my endurance through high incline walking and light jogs for now. But hey – progesss is progress!
And it feels great to break a sweat. Since I’m on a fluid restriction (32 ounces a day), I need to find other ways to reduce fluid and it will have to be through sweat while I also keeping my hemodialysis catheter dry.

“The human body has approximately 3 million sweat glands, and the average person sweats up to 1.5 gallons per day. Active or hard working adults can sweat a maximum of four gallons (or 15 liters) a day, depending on their activity level and temperature.”
